Afterschool workshops are targeted to children in Kindergarten through Grade 4 unless otherwise noted. Registration begins three weeks prior to the class; register online at www.faylib.org.
April 6: Botanical Garden
Join us for an interactive workshop with the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Participants will learn about gardening and planting seeds. Everyone will go home with a seed planted in a paper pot, ready to be put into the ground!
April 13: Apple Seeds
Join Apple Seeds teaching farm for an interactive workshop! Participants will learn about nutrition and where our food comes from through a hands-on experience.
April 20: Woodworking
Join us for a woodworking workshop! Participants will get to build and decorate their own wooden bird feeder. All supplies will be provided, and paricipants will get to keep their finished product.
April 27: Science Experiments
Join us for a hands-on workshop with science experiments! This workshop will be hosted by Alpha Chi Sigma, a professional chemistry fraternity at the University of Arkansas. Members of Alpha Chi Sigma will provide a mixture of science experiments that will provoke new thoughts and questions, which the members will happily answer!
