Walker Community Room

Please join 2nd Sunday Local Author Nancy Hartney on Sunday, March 12 2017 from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the Walker Community Room.

Nancy writes about the Deep South. Her roots dig into the piney woods and the sweat-soaked hardscrabble farms with slice of life tales that stare into the eyes of eccentric characters struggling with living when all they have is grit—and sometimes love.

Her second book, "If the Creek Don’t Rise: Tales from the South" follows her award winning debut collection, "Washed in the Water: Tales from the South," both from Pen-L Publishing.

She writes non-fiction for The Chronicle of the Horse, Sidelines, Horsemen’s Roundup, DoSouth, and other publications. Her short stories have appeared in Big Muddy: Journal of the Mississippi Valley, Seven Hills Review, and various regional anthologies. She has penned western tales for Cactus Country, Best of Frontier Tales, and Rough Country. The website is NancyHartney.com.

Books will be available for sale and signing.
