What are your favorite things about the Fayetteville Public Library?

The fabulous collection of books and a green building are my favorite things about FPL.

Why do you support your local library?

I support my library because it gives access to everyone to books, dvds, etc.

If you were stranded on a desert island with only one book, what would it be?

A Heart As Wide As the World by Sharon Salzberg

What was your favorite childhood book?

Tales of Peter Rabbit is a childhood favorite

What is your favorite memory or event attended at the Fayetteville Public Library?

I really enjoyed an all day writing workshop at the library.

 

For your fantasy dinner, which four fictional characters would you invite?

Kay Scarpetta, Jim Chee, Cosima (from Animal Dreams) and Lusa (from Prodigal Summer)

What book are you recommending to friends right now?

Tears of the Desert (a Darfur memoir) is the book I’m recommending right now.

 

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include gardening, piano, weaving, hiking, reading and knitting.

 

What are some of your favorite things about Fayetteville?

I love the people, the art and cultural opportunities and the natural areas of Fayetteville.

 

Favorite place in the library to meet friends?

I like to meet friends at Arsaga’s Café in the library.

Favorite place in the library to read?

I love to read in the easy chairs in front of the huge south-facing windows on the main floor.
